Rousová, Martina ; Mahrová, Andrea (advisor) ; Horčic, Josef (referee)
Title: Effect of physical activity Nordic Walking on body composition and cardiorespiratory parameters in individuals after kidney transplantation and dialysis individual. Objective: The aim of the study was to determine the effect of physical activity Nordic Walking on body composition and cardiorespiratory parameters in individuals after kidney transplantation and dialysis individual. Method: This thesis has been prepared in the form of a qualitative case study. The study involved 9 probands at the beginning, but only 5 probands completed the study. It was done the input examination before the intervention. The intervention was made from 20 lessons of Nordic Walking which should take 60 minutes each of them. Then were probands tested again like the output examination. During these both examination were measured specific values of body composition, anthropometric values (height, weight, age, circuit level), as well as the distribution of muscle and fat mass in the body, the value of physical fitness, respectively. cardiorespiratory parameters of the individual, for which was used the spiroergometric test within a modified Balke's walking test. For to detect the quality of life was used before and after intervention standardized questionnaire assessing quality of life WHOQOL-BREF. Last but not...
Impact of home- based physical training programme on values of pulmonary function test and aerobic exercise capacity of children with cystic fibrosis
Štefanová, Petra ; Plešková, Jana (advisor) ; Smolíková, Libuše (referee)
This diploma thesis takes interest in the issue of physical activities of children with cystic fibrosis, in possible impacts of such activities on clinical condition, in options of prescription of physical activities based on the actual clinical state of a person with cystic fibrosis, and in options of objectification of changes induced by an exercise programme. The theoretic part of this thesis summarizes the current findings about cystic fibrosis, therapy and physical activities in the context of prognosis of patients with cystic fibrosis. In experimental part, we performed examinations on few participants, who were willing to perform a home-based exercise programme. Also, we made a short exploratory questionnaire focused on the attitude of children with cystic fibrosis towards physical exercises. Methodology: We observed the evolution of maximal oxygen uptake VO2max, forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1), forced vital capacity (FVC) and of the scores of 1- minute sit-to-stand test (1-MSTST). All the measurements were performed before and after 12- weeks long exercise intervention. The inclusion criteria were diagnosis of cystic fibrosis, age over 10 years, FEV1 over 60 % predicted and no present signs of an acute exacerbation. Participants were assessed by spirometry examination,...
Regulatory measures for influencing aerobic fitness of middle-aged women
Králová, Kateřina ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Čechovská, Irena (referee)
Title Regime intervention to influence aerobic fitness level of middle age women Objective The aim of the work is to evaluate the effect of two-month physical intervention on the aerobic fitness level of middle-aged women and the influence of this intervention on the change of the body composition of individual study participants. Methods The tested group consisted of 5 middle-aged women with a sedentary occupation and no regular physical activity. The evaluation of their aerobic fitness and body composition was performed before the start of the intervention. These values were compared to the results of the same tests after the intervention. The values of VO2max measured before and after the intervention were used for the evaluation of aerobic fitness. The regression equation, based on the results of 2 km walking test (part of the UNIFITTEST 6-60), was used for the calculation of VO2max. The methods of bioimpedance (using the portable device Body stat 1500) and anthropometric measurement (body high, weight, circuits) were used for determination of body composition - mainly % FFM and% BF. The physical intervention itself was focused on walking for two months period. The form was used for monitoring of intervention individual exercise units. The group of middle-aged women performed the prescribed...
Possibilities of Physical Exercise in School- Age Patients with Cystic Fibrosis
Štefanová, Petra ; Zelenková, Jana (advisor) ; Smolíková, Libuše (referee)
Cystic fibrosis belongs to the most common fatal genetic diseases of Caucasians. The treatment of cystic fibrosis symptoms is a complex system and its integral parts are methods of respiratory physiotherapy. Therapeutic approach helps clients to live even more than 40 years at the present time. Clients living with chronic diseases were discouraged from physical load in the past. But now, we know these patients benefit from regular physical activity. This thesis is divided into 2 parts - theoretic and practical. Theoretic research summarizes possibilities of testing the children patients with cystic fibrosis in relation to physical condition and also contains the latest information about already studied training programmes of this specific group. Practical part of this thesis is consist of a young client case study, suffering from the cystic fibrosis. This client underwent a physical examination and implemented designed 10- weeks training program thereafter.

Possibilities of evaluation and development of aerobic fitness of obese individuals
Benešová, Kateřina ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Strejcová, Barbora (referee)
Title: Possibilities of evaluation and development of aerobic fitness of obese individuals Aim of diploma thesis: The aim of the research was to verify the 2km walking test to asses aerobic fitness of individuals who are overweight or obese. Furthemore, whether physical activity lasting two month has a significant effect on the reduction of weight and % body fat of overweight and obese individuals. Methods:. The 2 km walking test was performed at the beginning and end of the intervention. Meanwhile, a group of 6 overweight ( BMI > 25 kg.m-2 ) or obese, grade I, II (BMI < 40 kg.m-2 ) adult men and women (aged 21-56) performed the prescribed physical aktivity based on walking on the "treadmill" and "ride" on the stationary bike in the Reconditioning Center (at VŠTJ Medicina Praha). Description of physical activity: the duration of at least 40 min., 3 times a week for 2 months, moderate intensity (60 % VO2max) measured by a Sport tester. To calculate the index of aerobic fitness of the walk test, we used the predictive equation of Eurofit for adults, weight and body composition was measured using bioimpedance bipedal Tanita scales, we used a survey to assess the level of lifelong physical activity and for an overall health assesment we used PAR-Q questionnaire. Results of the study: 2 km walking test...
